1. Acceptance & eligibility
You must be 18 or older to use Rumi. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure.
2. What Rumi is
Rumi helps people discover potential roommates based on self-described preferences and connect privately. We do not vet, verify, endorse, or background-check users, and we do not guarantee any match, response, or housing outcome.
3. Same-gender matching
Rumi is a same-gender roommate service: you see and connect only with members of your own gender. This reflects shared-living norms in the community we serve. (This framing should be reviewed by counsel for your launch jurisdictions.)
4. Your content & conduct
You own and are responsible for what you post. Describe your own living preferences honestly; do not harass, impersonate, scam, or use the service unlawfully. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or our community guidelines.
5. Payments
Rumi is free to use while we get started: browsing, filtering, and connecting cost nothing today, and no payment details are collected. If paid features are introduced later, these terms will be updated first and any payment terms will be finalized with counsel before going live. 6. Photos & privacy

7. Fair housing
